Flybe to keep two planes on Island overnight

Flybe is planning to keep two planes on the Isle of Man overnight – despite scrapping its base here.

That’s according to the Island’s director of ports who says this is a positive move for passengers.

In November last year the airline confirmed it was pulling out of Ronaldsway – resulting in the loss of 49 jobs.

This week Flybe has confirmed the routes it will continue to serve - Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham.

Ann Reynolds says the decision means aircraft will be based here which is a compromise:
