Douglas man remanded in custody on drugs charges

The 30 year old Douglas man charged with four serious drugs offences has been remanded in custody.
James Doherty is charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.
Over £54,000 worth of the class A substance was seized on Friday, an additional £9000 in cash was recovered by police at his home.
He also faces a charge of assaulting a police officer.
He has been remanded in custody until Friday, when he will be standing trial for a separate issue.
