The Island’s ambulance service has achieved the ISO 9001 Quality Award following an external validation process.

For the fifth consecutive year, it has retained the internationally recognised standard - demonstrating it's employee's ability to meet patient needs.

External auditors from The British Assessment Bureau looked at all areas of activity; including patient requirements, resources, processes and procedures.

Chief ambulance officer Russell Thornhill says they try to deliver an excellent patient focussed service in all emergency and urgent care lead situations.
