Webcast plans for House of Keys passed

The public will be able to listen to government proceedings over the internet from next year.

A motion to create a live listening facility and a listen again service was passed in the House of Keys earlier this week.

It means all proceedings in the House of Keys, Legislative Council and committees will be streamed as a webcast as they happen.

The Positive Action Group has welcomed the move saying it’s a great development.
