Department issues accommodation warning

The Department of Economic Development is reminding people that it’s a legal requirement for tourist accommodation to be registered with it.

Failure to register can result in prosecution and a fine of up to £5,000.

Visitor accommodation needs to be shown to meet certain legal standards intended to protect visitors.
