Island below national average for empty retail units

The number of empty retail units in Douglas is still below the national average.
That's despite another shop on Strand Street becoming vacant earlier this week following the closure of the clothing store Internactionale.
Douglas Development Partnership says it is always disappointing when a business closes but it's hopeful the unit - which is one of the larger ones on the street - won't stay empty for long.
However development manager Chris Pycroft says the statistics are slightly concerning:
