Tribute paid to former ACU chairman

A member of the Autocycle Union who was integral to the organisation of the TT races for a number years of has died,
Jim Parker who was a former chairman of the ACU passed away yesterday aged 74 after being ill for some time.
ACU Chairman, Brian Higgins said "Many people realised that Jim has not been a well man for quite a long time, but this does not detract from the loss to his family and the ACU from his passing away. Current Chairman Brian Higgins confimed the news today and praised the work done in the Isle of Man by Mr Parker.
Former Tourism Minister David Cretney worked with him in the organisation of the races and says they both shared a passion for road racing.[play media file below}
