Disruptive pupils continue to challenge teachers says MHK

Teachers are being seriously challenged trying to sort out disruptive pupils.

That’s the view of Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly who says he wants to see more of a focus on respect.

He’s challenged the Education Minister to change the current Essentials for Learning approach, which centres on the 6Rs.

Tim Crookall says there will never be a perfect system but has agreed to look at it further.

Mr Skelly says there is lots of room for improvement:
