Concerns have been raised with regards to the volume of Queenie's currently being caught each season.

A study by Bangor University has revealed that the current system in place will result in seriously depleted Queenie stocks in the not too distant future.

They have made a number of recommendations to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

These include a catch limit, rigorous monitoring of catches both inside and outside the Manx territorial sea and a later start time for dredging.
