Gambling continues to be a problem on Island

The director of Motiv8 addiction service has outlined the extent of the Island’s gambling problem.
Although gambling addiction isn’t a new phenomenon, cases of people needing the service have seen a steady rise as gambling become more accessible.
The advent of Smartphone’s and online betting has made it much easier for people to place a bet on practically anything, ranging from sport events to music chart positions.
However as Director Thea Ozenturk told us it’s the more traditional forms of gambling that people continue to struggle with:
