Ramsey Town Commissioner attendance allowances to remain unaltered

Ramsey Commissioners say a decision not to increase attendance allowances for members is a “no brainer”.
Local authorities around the Island were recently invited to submit their views on whether or not to raise the amount of money that councillors and commissioners can claim.
It currently stands at £30 per meeting.
However commissioners in the northern town say they are “sensitive” to the current economic situation and are committed to serve the community and not financial reward.
Chairman Nigel Malpass says any increases would have been inappropriate:
