Public Services Commission will cut bureaucracy says Chief Minister

A plan to streamline government’s employment structure could improve efficiency and reduce bureaucracy.
New plans are being drawn up which would see a Public Services Commission established to replace the Civil Service Commission.
It would bring civil servants and manual workers together under one employing authority and would be responsible for employment structures, terms and conditions and bargaining arrangements.
The idea of streamlining the system has been brought up before three years ago. Chief Minister Allan Bell says the proposal has been updated since then:
