Car failed to stop for police

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop for police and narrowly missed hitting an officer.
It happened on Peel Road in Douglas near to Pulrose Bridge at around 11.45pm on Friday.
A police officer signaled a dark coloured Peugeot saloon to pull over, but the driver wouldn’t stop and the car was later found abandoned in Pulrose.
Two other cars, including a fast food delivery vehicle, were in the area at the time and it’s hoped their occupants witnessed the incident.
