Support offered to Water and Sewerage Authority staff following death of co-worker

The Water and Sewerage Authority is offering help and support to its workforce after a worker was killed when a wall collapsed on Monday.

52 year old John Lawrence Gell – who was known as Lude – died as he was carrying out excavation work near to the former Creg Malin Hotel in Peel.

Staff are said to be in shock following the incident which happened as he was replacing a water supply pipe.
