Tynwald to be asked to extend drug ban

Tynwald is to be asked to approve an order that would extend the ban on a drug which caused the death of a teenager.
MDAI was formerly a legal high which was outlawed following the death a 17 year old girl from Ramsey in April 2010.
The law which originally banned the substance was temporary .
Politicians will be asked to approve an extension at next month’s sitting.
It means MDAI would continue to be a Class C drug after January next year.
