Motorists are being asked to drive with caution this morning due to the heavy rain currently battering the Island.

A number of roads have flooded and there's also standing water in many places making driving conditions difficult.

We've had reports of a number of particluar spots to take care around include Leigh Terrace in Douglas, between Bishop’s Court and Ballaugh, Barregarrow and Cronk Y Voddy, the Fairy Bridge area, the Mountain Road and between Kirk Michael and Ramsey.

There's also a tree down on the Switchback Road. Police and the Department of Infrastructure are on site dealing with it.
