University fees should NOT be cut says MHK

The matter of means testing for Island pupils moving onto University was raised in Tynwald this week.
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft raised the issue with Minister for Education and Children, Tim Crookall.
She asked whether a means testing system will have been introduced by the next General election.
She also asked whether students domiciled in the Isle of Man will continue not to pay fees at levels higher than those living in the UK.
The liberal Vannin member thinks it is a money saving measure that should be avoided at all costs.
