Roadside checks to be carried out on motorists

Vehicle examiners and the police will be carrying out roadside checks on motorists over the next few weeks.
It’s part of the Road Safety Team’s “See and Be Seen” campaign which is urging drivers to make sure their cars are roadworthy.
With the winter closing in it’s important to make sure your vehicle is ready to drive in any conditions including ice and snow.
Richard Pearson, director of highways, has this advice:
