TT book shortlisted for Sports Book award

A book about the TT has been shortlisted for a prestigious literary prize – the William Hill Sports Book Award.
That Near Death Thing: Inside the TT: The World’s Most Dangerous Race has been written by Times journalist Rick Broadbent.
It focuses on four of the leading contenders at the 2010 race meeting and features comment from officials, riders, and fans.
Rick says careful consideration went into the title.
The winner will be announced on Monday, November 26th.
