Tesco Express Store has alcohol licence refused

Tesco has been refused an alcohol licence in court for their proposed express store in Castletown.
Concern was flagged up by the commissioners who felt that there were too many off-licences already in Castletown.
Proposals would have seen the express chain of the supermarket giant located in Callows Yard.
It has left the future of the facility in doubt, as we found out when we spoke to Tesco’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Doug Wilson.
