The Isle of Man post office has seen more profits over the last financial year.
The statutory board of Tynwald has seen an increase from £2.4 to £2.6 million in 2010 to 2011.
Chairman Geoff Corkish MHK says the results are encouraging in the context of a struggling economy.
He also says as well as 50% going to Treasury, the business will pay an extra £2.5 million from reserves into the Island's general revenue to help balance budgets.
