By-election trial to resume this morning

The trial will resume this morning (Tuesday) of four people charged with election fraud.

52-year-old Geoffrey Callister of Port Erin, 40-year-old Gail Corrin of Douglas, 26-year-old Catherine Liggins of Onchan and 25-year-old Kerry Rothwell of Onchan all deny charges relating to voting irregularities in the May 2010 Douglas East by-election.

Seamus Nugent, the managing director of Heritage Homes, will continue to give evidence as a prosecution witness from 10am.
