Port St Mary Commissioners have also taken the decision to fly the flags in the village at half mast today.

It’s in a mark of respect to PC Fiona Bone who was killed while on duty in Manchester yesterday.

Her family live in Port St Mary and Fiona was educated at Castle Rushen High School.

The flags in the Garden of Remembrance and outside the Town Hall have been lowered.

It’s likely they will remain this way for the rest of the week.
