Record numbers make it through police recruitment phase

More people than ever before have made it through the first stage of becoming police officers on the Isle of Man.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says there has been an overwhelming response to the latest recruitment campaign with 145 people submitting their application.

Just over 100 will be invited to take part in a fitness test before being whittled down further to a final selection process at Ard Whalin in November. 

The chosen intake will then start in January.
