How fast can you run 50 kilometres?

There’s a challenge for runners this month to complete the Manx Mountain Marathon.

Entries to take part in the grueling 31-mile race close on Saturday, 22nd September.

The event starts in Ramsey and finishes in Port Erin and it kicks off on the following Saturday, 29th.

Manx fell runners chairman Richard Stevenson says the cross country route is no mean feat:
