Port Erin lifeboat was launched last night (FRIDAY) following a report of people in difficulty in Port Erin bay.

The boat was sent out at 8.45pm after Liverpool Coastguard received a 999 call.

Three teenagers were found struggling to make it to shore.

Luckily they had been taken out of the water by another boat and transported to Port Erin jetty.

Lifeboat officials checked the swimmers were in good health and the lifeboat returned to the station at 9.15pm.
