DASH ask parents to educate children before festivals

The Drugs Advice Service and Helpline is sending a message out to parents to educate their children about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.

The plea ties in with this summer’s festival season, which will see a lot of young people exposed to substances for the first time.

DASH promotes an informed and informal discussion as opposed to a lecture, with advice on hand for any parents needing it.

Shelly Stanley from DASH says it’s better to be prepared as it’s a fact of life that drugs are readily available at these events:
