Mark Cavendish kicked off his campaign for the Tour De France Green Jersey yesterday by bagging some valuable points.
The World Champion was set up for the intermediate sprint mid way through yesterday’s stage, only to be beaten over the line by former team mate Matt Goss.
However a second placing will still secure him valuable points.
Fabian Cancellara is currently the overall race leader going into today’s 208 kilometre ride from Vise to Tournai.
