Public consultation over bribery legislation

Publication Date: Tue, 26 Jun 2012  11:13

A public consultation has been launched which aims to strengthen the Island’s legislation to combat bribery.

The proposed Bribery Bill of 2012 will endeavour to remove any obstacles in the way of Manx businesses trading with other jurisdictions, particularly the UK.

The Bill will replace the Corruption Act of 2008.

The Department of Home Affairs will be seeking the views of Tynwald Members, local authorities, businesses and the public during the six week consultation.
