Island strengthens ties with Estonia

The Isle of Man has been strengthening ties with Estonia – following a visit from the Estonian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
The Ambassador,Her Excellency Aino Lepik von Wiren,who was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Political Affairs, met with Manx political figures during her two day visit.
In 2009 the Isle of Man and Estonia signed a Double Taxation Agreement and this visit is said to have enabled the countries to explore new business opportunities.
Estonia has a strong IT and telecommunications sector and the possibility of closer cooperation was among the topics discussed.
