Government's Pinewood Studio plan hits the international headlines

News that the Manx Government wants a multi-million pound stake in Pinewood Studios has grabbed the attention of media across the globe.

If all goes to plan the Isle of Man will become a major shareholder in the hugely successful and renowned film studios.

Since 1995 the Island has invested over £170 million in 97 cinema and TV ventures.

For a £24 million investment in Pinewood Shepperton, the Island would have a stake just shy of 20%.

In return, the company would be responsible for sourcing and advising on future opportunities for the Island.
