Fire crews had to cut a driver from their car after it crashed head on into a tree near Fairy Bridge.
The Mazda MX5 struck the tree shortly after 4.00pm yesterday.
The road had to be closed whilst the driver was removed from the vehicle.
Officers say the driver didn't appear to be seriously injured but was unresponsive when they began removing him from the car.
Fire crews spent around 45 minutes at the scene, and the road was re-opened shortly after 6.00pm.
