The Chief Minister says regular meetings with UK politicians can help prevent a future crisis.
Allan Bell visited London this week where he held a series of meetings with British politicians and also the ambassadors from Russia and South Korea.
When Mr Bell was elected as Chief Minister, one of his main promises was to build relationships with other nations.
He explains that there is rarely a set topic of discussion at such meetings [play clip]
