MHKs removed from DEC with immediate effect

The Department of Education and Children's Headquarters at Hamilton House
Zac Hall and John Houghton have been sacked from the Department of Education and Children.
The Council of Ministers took the decision to remove the MHKs from the Department yesterday.
The move comes after the pair left the Tynwald chamber on Tuesday, missing a vote on the preschool provision.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says their departmental memberships have been terminated with immediate effect given the responsibility expected in their role.
MLCs Tony Wild and Juan Turner replace them.
