A committee is asking the public to provide evidence of advocates wasting time to boost their fees.

Tynwald appointed the select committee to look into Civil Legal Proceedings during last month's sitting.

The MHKs on the committee now want those who believe advocates have wasted time to provide examples of letters delaying proceedings and a short summary of their experiences.

The committee isn't looking to re-open cases but will look at the preparation between the beginning of proceedings and the case coming to trial.

Those who believe they have evidence of time wasting by advocates have until March 30th to get their submission to the Clerk of the Committee.
