The Chief Minister says the government hasn't found it necessary to set up a fund to rescue the Steam Packet in case of a future financial emergency.
Allan Bell was answering a question from Onchan MHK Zac Hall in the House of Keys today.
Mr Hall asked about the Steam Packet's financial position and whether an ad-hoc reserve fund needs to be set up in case the company ever needs bailing out.
But Mr Bell doesn't think it's needed.
