Unemployment on the Isle of Man increased by 121 last month.
There are now 1100 people out of work on the Island.
That gives an unemployment rate of 2.5%.
However, Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says you would have to go back many years to find the last time unemployment fell during January.
He also says the economy is still creating job opportunities, as the job centre was notified of over 450 vacancies over the month.
