Sam Barks as Eponine in a stage version of Les Miserables
Manx actress Samantha Barks is to star in a movie adaptation of Les Miserables.
She'll play Eponine in an all star cast alongside Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.
She's previously played the character on the stage.
The 21 year old was told last night whilst performing as Nancy in Oliver in Manchester.
The Laxey performer shot to fame after coming third in I'd do Anything, a talent show looking to find a girl to play Nancy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's adaptation of Oliver.
She's since starred in stage versions of Oliver, Caberet and Les Miserables.
