The Department of Health is reporting a suspected case of measles on the Isle of Man.

A teenager is believed to have contracted it abroad as there have been cases in a number of European countries.

Close contacts of the teenager have been identified and contacted.

Public Health Officials warn it's not just a trivial childhood infection as it can lead to serious complications.

They advise people should be vaccinated against measles.
