Further rise in unemployment on Isle of Man

Unemployment on the Isle of Man has risen for the 4th consecutive month.

Figures out today for December show a slight rise, bringing the number of people out of work to 979.

It's 8 more than the previous month.

Just a year earlier in December 2010, there were 184 fewer people without jobs.

Last month, the Job Centre was notified of 233 positions and 93 of these were left vacant.
