Bank worker announces intention to stand for Douglas Council

The Community Affairs Manager at Alliance and Leicester International is to stand in the upcoming local authority elections.
George Campbell is looking for a seat on Douglas Council representing Murray’s Ward.
Mr Campbell is involved in a number of charities on the Island, and has previously been nominated for volunteer of the year at the Isle of Man Excellence Awards.
He says he’s had a keen interest in politics for a number of years, and has been attending council meetings as a member of the public for two and a half years.
The local authority elections will be held in April.
