Mountain Road re-opens

Windy Corner on the Mountain Road

The Mountain Road is now open again.

The A18 was closed yesterday evening because of high winds.

Police confirmed the road was being re-opened from 9.00 this morning.

Elsewhere on the Island's roads we've received reports of a diesel or oil spill on the Billown course in the south of the Island.

An Energy FM listener says the road surface is slippery around Church Bends as a result of the spill.
