Inquest into MGP rider's death to resume

Wayne Hamilton at this year's Manx Grand Prix

The inquest into the death of a rising star of road racing takes place later today.

20 year old Wayne Hamilton died during the Junior Race at this year's Manx Grand Prix, following a crash at the 13th milestone.

At an earlier hearing, the court was told Hamilton died at the scene.

His death came just two days after he won the Newcomers race, and he was in third place in the Junior race at the time of the incident.

The inquest is reconvened at 2.00 this afternoon
