Manx flights should avoid strike delays, says Airport Director

Those travelling from the Isle of Man Airport could be hit with lengthy delays when they land in the UK today.

Public Sector workers in Britain are striking over pensions, including immigration staff.

There've been warnings that some air passengers could be held on airplanes for up to twelve hours as queues build up.

It's thought the disruption to flights from the Island will be minimal, but those with connecting flights could be held up.

Meanwhile, the Island's teachers won't be joining in the strike.

The Joint Teaching Union says it has no dispute over pensions with the Manx Government, so won't be joining in today's industrial action.
