In future, some prisoners at the Island's jail could be put to use by the Department of Infrastructure.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson revealed in Tynwald yesterday that talks are being carried out with the DoI to see if inmates could be used in works projects.
The idea is to get prisoners involved in supervised projects that benefit them and the community.
