1400 people waiting for public sector housing

The government says it's essential it continues to invest in affordable housing.
Tynwald will be asked this week to allow the Department of Social Care to spend £785,000 on six new public sector flats in Jurby.
If approved, they'll be built on the Bretney Estate.
28 people are currently on the waiting list for this type of property in the north of the Island.
Over 1400 people are waiting for public sector housing across the Isle of Man.
