The Chief Minister is welcoming the growing number of leisure and hospitality developments that are in the pipeline.

Allan Bell says proposals for new hotels and other ventures show private investors still have faith in the future of the Island.

Some projects are already underway like the development of a new 30 bedroom hotel at the Mooragh in Ramsey.

Others like the proposed gastro pub, bowling centre and play barn in Braddan are still in the planning stages.

Mr Bell says he can't influence the planning committee but he can request things are dealt with quickly.[play media file below]
