Whitley Council members vote against pay freeze

Over half of the members of the Whitley Council have turned down a pay freeze.
Over 2500 workers were balloted.
Nearly 60% responded, over 90% of which were against the 0% increase in pay.
Just 86 employees were willing to accept the proposals.
The Whitley Council says pay discussions will resume at a meeting on November 4th.
