Planning system benefits construction sector, says DoI

The Department of Infrastructure says the planning process is supporting the local construction industry.
Since January this year, 85% of planning applications have been approved.
Most of these plans have been given the go-ahead within eight weeks.
The Department says this is helping stimulate the economy by giving the construction sector a boost.
The DoI now says it needs to focus on improving the quality of new developments on the Island
