Minimum wage rise

The Island's minimum wage will rise from next month.
For workers over 18 years old, it will go up from £6.10 to £6.20 an hour from 1st November.
Tynwald approved the increase this week.
It was recommended by the Minimum Wage Committee which consists of an independent chairman, two members representing employers and two people representing workers
Economic Development Minister John Shimmin say the impact of the move was studied by the committee..[play media file below]
